Gibson Howlin Lawyers is proud to congratulate Jodie Jamieson, Managing Partner of Gibson Howlin Lawyers, on receiving the Sports Volunteer Award – Rugby Union at the 2026 Cook Awards, presented by Simon Kennedy, Federal Member for Cook.

The award recognises Jodie’s outstanding contribution to rugby union and her dedication to volunteering within the local sporting community.

The Cook Awards celebrate individuals across the Cook electorate who make a meaningful impact through community service, leadership and volunteer work. Each year, members of the public nominate local individuals who give their time to support community organisations, sporting clubs and initiatives that strengthen the region. The awards highlight the many people who work behind the scenes to help local communities thrive.

Jodie’s recognition reflects her commitment to supporting grassroots rugby union and the vital role volunteers play in the success of community sport. Volunteers are the backbone of local clubs, helping create opportunities for players, families and supporters to participate, develop skills and enjoy the benefits of team sport.

Alongside her role as Managing Partner at Gibson Howlin Lawyers, Jodie has always placed strong value on giving back to the community. Her involvement in volunteer sport demonstrates her belief in supporting young athletes, encouraging teamwork and helping local sporting organisations continue to grow.

Receiving the Sports Volunteer Award – Rugby Union is a well-deserved recognition of the time, effort and passion Jodie continues to contribute to the local rugby community.

We would also like to sincerely thank everyone who nominated Jodie for this award. Your support and recognition highlight just how valued her contribution is within the community.
